The sandwiches were good but the sides were lacking. The shrimp po'boy was very good, nicely seasoned shrimp. Chicken Bog on the side for no charge was dry and lacking flavor. Raging rooster chicken sandwich was very tasty but the loaded cheese bacon fries for up charge were not worth it. They were greasy and bacon and cheese, stuck more to the cardboard container than to the Fries. Service was good. Ambience is typical college town bar.
Really great appetizers and a strong beer list. Definitely come on Tuesdays for trivia!
I had been once before a few years ago. I remember it was good. We live in Surfside so it's a 40 minute drive to get to Crafty Rooster. Let me just say that we will be meeting family here more frequently. We had lunch yesterday, we hit the church crowd and it was packed when we arrived. Our waitress was busy, but upfront and honest. She told us the kitchen was behind and it would be a while. Everything was worth the wait. If you've ever waited tables you've been in the weeds and it happens to the best. We had the fried pickles and pretzel bites for an appetizer. Two burgers were ordered both were great and I had the seafood mac. I'll be eating it for days.
This is a great place to go for breakfast. If you go before the rush time you can make it in within 15 minutes. The attention to detail and art work throughout the place is quite nice. Food portions are big and the food is delicious! Highly recommend the French toast .
The food is always great....Especially the wings and burgers. Several different varieties of both. I usually get the boneless chicken wings with Sweet Chili Sauce. Amazing! They also have several kinds of beer. I don't drink beer but I see a lot of people order different crafts. Bingo night is a blast too!! Won several times. Cool dive bar/restaurant.
